I followed someone last week. It wasn’t supposed to be exciting. He took the same route I usually take from the pedestrian bridge to the main square in Plovdiv. I just had to maintain a forced pace, and shy away from shops so I could keep up. It started when I saw him give change to a man with a dirty, empty candy box on the bridge, followed by a reaching-for-his-wallet for both the women...

I like the past. I am severely nostalgic. I started watching my baby videos when I was still a toddler, I guess that makes me narcissistic as well. I LOVE old things, especially if they come from my family. I love second-hand clothes, antiques, memories, old crumbling spaces, old people and the stories they tell about the past. That is why being here, in Bulgaria, is the ultimate indulgence.
